Broken Into Pieces

"I'll just call my brother." Carmin said.

"Okay, you can use the phone in the kitchen." Katie said as she opened the front door and walked in.

"Thanks." Carmin said as she walked inside to call Cody

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Carmin asked.

"Yeah I have crutches so I'll be okay." Katie said as she sat down on the couch in her living room.

Now if I had something to fix a heart broken into a million pieces that would be helpful.

Carmin wrote her number down on a piece of paper.

"If you need anything at all, call me." Carmin said.

"Okay." Katie said before she grabbed her notebook off the coffee table.

She ripped out a piece of paper then wrote down her number and gave it to Carmin.

"Incase you ever need me." Katie said.

"Thanks." Carmin said.

Then she called Cody on her cell phone and stepped outside.

"He's on his way." Carmin said a few minutes later.

"Okay." Katie said as she grabbed a page out of her notebook and ripped it before throwing it on the floor.

"Are you sure you don't want to talk or anything before I go." Carmin asked.

"I'm fine." Katie said with tears in her eyes as she ripped another piece of paper from her notebook in half.

"No you're not." Carmin said.

Katie shook her head.

"No, really, I'm fine." Katie muttered.

"Liar." Carmin said with her hands on her hips.

Katie looked at the page in her hand it was a part of her story that she started. It had her and Randy together and was titled Together Forever. Katie burst into tears as she stared at the paper.

"Come here." Carmin said as she put an arm around Katie.

"It isn't fair, why couldn't he just have loved only me?" Katie cried.

"I don't know." Carmi said as she rubbed Katie's back, trying to soothe her.

"I wish my relationship with him was exactly the way I wrote my stories, it would have been perfect." Katie said.

"I guess though my life was never meant to be perfect." Katie said.

'You'll find someone." Carmin said.

"No I won't when there's always someone prettier then I am I'll never be able to find the perfect guy that I want so bad." Katie said.

"Don't talk like that Katie, you will find someone, I know it." Carmin said.

"Yeah right." Katie said as she grabbed her crutches and went through the kitchen then out onto the deck.

Even though it was still raining Katie didn't care as she got down and sat on a step.

Carmin followed and sat down beside Katie, she knew she'd be sick by morning but she didn't care.

Katie pulled out her ipod from her pocket then started listening to it and in the middle of the song she started singing to Hate That I Love You So by Rihanna ft Ne-Yo.

And I hate that I love you so

Katie sighed as she looked at the rain as it poured down on her and Carmin.

Carmin sighed as she looked down at her broken friend.

She didn't know what else she could say.
