Lives At Stake

Torrie crawled back over to John as he laid down.

"John..."

He turned his head slightly to the soft voice "I wasn't..gonna have..her...kill me..." John muttered as he jilted his body in pain.

"Please, you can't leave John...please I need you so much!" Torrie cried as she touched his left cheek with tears falling from her eyes.

"And I need a doctor." John muttered.

"They're coming" Torrie muttered.

"It's too..late..Torrie" John uttered with his faint breath.

"No it's not! Don't talk like that" Torrie cried in heartbreak

"It's too late." John whispered.

"No, no it's not...you promised me John...you promised you'll stay with..me... Torrie muttered as her voice broke because of the heartbreak she felt.

"I can't." John whispered before he closed his eyes again.

"John, please" Torrie muttered in tears.

John let out a faint breath before he looked at Torrie. "I'll always love you, you'll be my heart....and...I'll be with you..always be with you..." John muttered.

"John, please don't do this I love you so much...you promised me on the beach you won't ever leave me" Torrie's voice cracked in sorrow.

"I love you." John whispered before he passed out.

Torrie watched on with tears in her eyes and her heart officially breaking in two.

"Please...John..." Torrie muttered.

"I may not..be with you...but you have to go...now and be strong..." John muttered, with every faint breath he had left.

Torrie shook her head as she leaned closer to John. "I can't.....not without you...." Torrie trembled in her tears.

"Yes you can." John muttered.

Torrie shook her head, with tears in her eyes "No...I can't...without you I'm nothing..." Torrie stuttered, with a single tear falling down in her heartbreak.

"Tor I'll always be in your heart." John whispered.

Torrie felt her heart break just a little more, hearing his faint soft words.

"John, no don't talk like that you'll be fine" Torrie muttered with tears falling down from her eyes.

"Food for my beautiful, brave wife" Randy smiled handing the bag to Katie.

John slowly took off his dog tags from around his neck.

"Here." John muttered before he gave them to Torrie.

Katie smiled.

"Thank you sweetie." Katie said before she opened the bag and grabbed the french fries and started eating them.

She looked at Randy.

"Want some fries?" Katie asked.

Torrie let out a small whimper as she took the chain from John's fingers.

"I can't lose you..." Torrie muttered as she watched John's eyelashes blinking slowly.

"Well depends if when I take them, you're gonna switch and kill me" Randy joked.

"Don't ever forget...that I loved you." John muttered.

Katie chuckled.

"No I'm willing to share right now." Katie said as she grabbed a couple fries and put them up to Randy's mouth to eat.

Torrie looked at John, with tears in her eyes before she turned away and let them fall.

"Why can't you..just stay? stay with me John please" Torrie pleaded.

Randy chuckled "Alright" Randy spoke, he ate a few more fries sitting on the chair next to Katie's bed.

"I'm sorry." John whispered.

Katie moved over a little on the bed then patted the spot next to her.

"Please sit with me." Katie said with a sweet smile.

Torrie looked at John, feeling his body start to fade.

"But you..promised John, on the beach...don't you remember" Torrie muttered, with sorrow in her voice.

Randy got up "Are you sure?" Randy asked.

"Tor...I'm sorry." John whispered.

Katie nodded.

"Yes I'm sure, I want to be in your arms after nearly dying twice in one day." Katie said.

"Stop...just...fight for me, the kids they need you..." Torrie pleaded in tears.

Torrie gulped gently before a single tear fell down "I need...you...you can't..leave us...not me, Kayla, Sarah., Joey, Kelly Anne..." Torrie muttered, through her tears.

Randy got on the bed, and opened his right arm up giving her perfect access.

"I love you and the kids." John muttered.

Katie got into Randy's arms then lied her head on his chest.

"I love you and Robby so much." Katie said as she put her hand on Randy's arm.

Torrie leaned forward with a soft tears fall down from her eyes.

"Then stay with us, we need you" Torrie spoke as she looked at John.

Randy gently stroked her hair "I love you two both very much, I can't believe how lucky I've been to find you Katie Orton you, Robby..and Rach means the world to me" Randy spoke as he saw Rachel sitting on the chair listening to her ipod.

(Haha! I thought that said first Katie lied dead on Randy's chest lol)

"I'm...trying." John muttered.

Katie looked at Rachel with a smile.

"She's a little wild but she's still a great kid." Katie said.

(lol, oops. I fixed it.)

"You can't let her be the one to tear us apart John, you gotta dig down deep and find the strength to survive" Torrie urgently encouraged feeling her whole world start to crash down.
