A Special Surprise

Torrie pulled John back by his hand, but her strength pull John over as he smacked his back of his head unto the metal of the swing.

"Oh John I am so sorry!" Torrie spoke as she got off, and went to him.

John kept his eyes closed, before he felt a soft kiss on his lips.

Katie sighed.

"Torrie pick up." Katie said.

John smiled before he opened his eyes.

Torrie gently brushed her hand down his cheek "Are you okay?" Torrie asked, Lucky came out with the phone in his mouth.

"Yeah...answer the phone." John said seeing the phone in Lucky's mouth.

Torrie looked at Lucky, "Lucky, phone please" Torrie spoke, but Lucky dropped it in John's lap.

"See you bought him for me, and he loves you more" Torrie pouted.

John wiped the phone on his shirt then answered it.

"Hello?" John asked.

"John it's Katie, is Torrie there?"

John handed the phone to Torrie.

"It's Katie." John said.

Torrie looked at John, before she took the phone and gently ran her fingers through John's brown hair since he was still against the swing.

"Hey hun," Torrie spoke, with a greeting happy tone in her voice.

"Hey Tor." Katie said with a small sigh.

Torrie ran her fingers through her blonde smooth locks.

"Whats up honey?" Torrie asked.

Lucky threw a ball at John's feet wanting to play.

"Can you and John come to St. Louis please?" Katie asked.

John grabbed the ball then threw it.

"St Louis?" Torrie asked surprised.

She put her feet down on the pavement, on John's shoulders "Are you okay? do I have to kill Randy?" Torrie asked worried.

The lovely, cute friendly golden retriever came over back to John and dropped the ball and barked.

"Depends, can you and John please just come? I need your help." Katie said.

Torrie looked at John, and remembered he whacked his head hard on the metal swing.

"Err..honey are you okay to drive to St Louis?" Torrie asked John.

Lucky kept nudging the ball, Kayla came from school and went outside "Lucky, here boy!" Lucky turned his attention to Kayla and jumped up at her licking her face.

"Yeah, why?" John asked.

Torrie looked at John.

"I'm not sure, Katie needs my help so..you sure you're okay to...drive"

"What's going on?" Kayla spoke as she sat down on the swing, making the swing hit John's head.

"Yeah, I'll get the keys." John said.

"Oww!" John yelled.

"Sorry, what's going on?"

"Your dad and I are going to St Louis to see Katie and Randy" Torrie spoke to Kayla.

Kayla smiled widely "Great Party!" She beamed clapping until she caught John's stare.

"You're not going." John said.

"Cool party here," Kayla clapped again.

Torrie just shook her head with a giggle before she went into the house.

"No parties!" John yelled.

"The house won't get trashed, Joey had one when you and mom were away last week" Kayla spoke as she dropped Joey in it.

"What?!" John yelled.

"Oops" Kayla muttered.

Joey came in with Sarah by his side. "God leave me alone,"

"You're grounded" John said to Joey before he could even breathe while Torrie was upstairs getting ready.

"What?!" Joey yelled.

"Go to your room." John said before he went inside.

"Daddy!" Sarah ran over to him. "Can we do some painting?" She asked sweetly wrapping her little arms around him.

Torrie grabbed her hairbrush and ran it through her sweet, soft locks before she put it up in a ponytail.
