Facing the Memory
Lindsay slept while she tossed and turned as she dreamed.
Lindsay lied in the hospital bed, whimpering. Her parents sat on both sides of her.
Two men entered the room with guns, wearing solid black outfits.
“Please don’t hurt us.” Caroline begged as they turned a gun on her.
“Oh we won’t hurt you.” one of the men said, turning the gun on Lindsay.
Caroline jumped in front of Lindsay just before the man pulled the trigger.
Caroline fell to the floor as the other man pulled the trigger, shooting Trent.
Lindsay shot up in bed, sobbing instantly.

Lindsay didn't respond.
When she finally looked up, her mind didn't see Torrie, she saw Caroline.
This only made her cry more.
