Memories Under The Sun.

Torrie flicked her blonde hair unto her shoulders, as she tried not to show she was crying.

"I know and I can't wait." Katie said with a giggle.

She looked at her cell phone when it beeped.

Randy and I aren't fighting anymore and I said he could marry you...but I'd worry about dad accepting it now.

Katie's smile dropped. The only person who was more protective of her then Matt was her dad.

"Oh great." Katie said with a groan.

"So how'd Randy propose anyway?" Candice asked, leaning forward. "Please tell me he did something romantic? He better have gone down on one knee."

Soraya looked at the Boise Belle in concern. "Torrie, are you all right?"

Torrie's eyes grew with even more tears, as she tried to concentrate on the road while she heard the girls talking.

"How...did....they stop agruing?" Torrie asked, as she smiled.

Soraya frowned slightly. "Torrie, what's wrong? You're crying?"

Candice immediately picked up on the change in the atmosphere. "Tor, what's the matter?"

Katie looked at Candice then smiled.

"It was really romantic. He texted me to meet him at the beach because we needed to talk. When I got there one of my favorite romantic songs Back At One by Brian McKnight was playing and there was a beautiful sunset. He told me that I'm the only one for him and that he's been the happiest man alive since being with me then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him."

Her smile then dropped after sharing the beautiful, special proposal.

"But my dad's going to shoot him." Katie said.

"That's not good" Kelly laughed.

"What's wrong Torrie"

Katie looked at Torrie.

"Tor you can tell us, what's wrong?" Katie asked.

"Aw, that's so sweet. Your Dad can't possibly shoot a guy that sweet...can he?" Soraya frowned at the thought.

"Torrie, what's wrong? This is supposed to be a good time, why are you crying?" Candice demanded.

Torrie let out a breath before she stopped the car on the sidewalk before she rested her head on the steering wheel as she remembered all the times Trish had wanted to get married to Randy in Hawaii.

"Honey what's wrong?" Kelly asked again.

Katie looked at Soraya.

"Yes, I'm daddy's little girl. He even told me when I was fifteen the day when a guy comes to his door asks to marry me he'll shot him." Katie said.

She looked at Torrie.

"Seriously what's wrong?" Katie asked.

"Don't tell me you girls have forgotten?" Torrie asked softly.

"Forgotten what?" Katie asked confused.

"Forgot what?"

"I'm confused." Soraya said. "What have we forgotten?"

"Beats me." Candice shrugged. "I'm sorry Tor, but it seems we have forgotten whatever it is."

Torrie took her hands off the steering wheel.

"Trish wanted to get married in Hawaii...it's not your dream Katie Trish wanted so badly to get married to Randy in Hawaii" Torrie spoke softly.

"Of course I forgot her" Kelly said, "I really don't care about her" she added

The car grew uncomfortably silent, before Soraya broke it. "Oh." Was all she could say.

Candice frowned before sighing. "Right, I did forget...um..." She trailed off, not knowing what else to say.

Katie slightly glared at Torrie.

"Excuse me? I've dreamed of getting married in Hawaii since I was a teenager and since when does only one person own a dream of getting married in a beautiful place?" Katie asked.

Torrie looked at Katie.

"Well....I'm sorry I just can't get that out of my head when she always bugged me about it" Torrie spoke as she leaned back on the seat.

Kelly nodded, not saying anything though.

"This just got way awkward." Soraya whispered to Candice.

"Mhmm...a little." Candice nodded.

"I'm sorry..I didn't mean to bring it up, but everytime I hear that place it just makes me think how much I let her down" Torrie muttered softly.
