A Friend In Need.

John pulled away from Torrie, he couldn't let her kiss him when the guilt was killing his him inside.

"I'm so sorry Torrie." John muttered.

"I love you too." Katie whispered before she buried her face into Randy's chest and continued crying.

Torrie looked at John.

"Sorry for what?" Torrie asked.

John just couldn't get the words out, because he knew it would break Torrie's heart.

"I can't tell you." John muttered.

Katie gripped onto Randy's shirt.

"I...I...I'm so sorry." Katie cried.

Torrie looked at John.

"Alright, but whatever it is we can get through it...are you okay? oh my god is it your ribs, back? what is it!" Torrie cried with concern.

John looked at Torrie, "Ribs, back? why would they be hurting?" John asked.

"Because it's only been 2 weeks since Big Show chokeslamed you through a 7000 watt search light" Torrie reminded John, with all the guilt in his heart, head and mind he had forgot the pain he felt in his ribs having internal injuries still.

Maybe the pain was still there but it was guilt.

John shook his head.

"It's...not...my ribs." John muttered.

Torrie looked at John.

"Okay, what is it we can work it out whatever it is I'm here for you John" Torrie spoke as she gently touched his chest before his head just lowered down.

Before he went to say something, Randy and Katie came in together.

"Hey!" Torrie beamed, while Katie and John just stood there with guilt.

"Well?"

"We're engaged!" Randy said with a huge smile across his face, while Torrie just smiled widely and clapped her hands together.

"Awww! contragulations!" Torrie beamed, John just felt so much guilt it made him sick to his stomach.

John just looked down feeling guilty.

Katie rubbed her eyes and looked down, drained from all the crying and the guilt in her heart.

Torrie smiled.

"We should so and get some wine to celbrate!" Torrie beamed.

John just stood there not knowing what to do or say all he had was pain in his heart.

She then looked at Katie, flung her arms around her escastic for Katie. "Cheer up, you're engaged!" She said with a smile hugging Katie.

"I'm just tired, it's been a long day and I'm still soaked after standing out in the rain before." Katie muttered.

"Okay, honey I'm gonna go with your new fiance to get some wine" Torrie said as she gave John a soft kiss even though he just stood there not saying a word.

Randy gave Katie a kiss before he left with Torrie leaving John and Katie alone again.

It was pure silence until Katie said something.

"I'm sorry." Katie said.

"I am too." John muttered.

"I was thinking of Randy then for some reason pictured him there instead of you and kissed you. I never wanted to kiss you John and I swear I didn't feel a thing or hear any fireworks like when I kiss Randy." Katie said.

"I didn't feel anything either but I still feel guilty for it." John said.

"I do too, should we tell them?" Katie asked.

"I don't know." John said.

"We gotta tell them, okay Katie I can't do this to Torrie" John spoke.

"But we can't....okay because you'll know we'll lose them over something so stupid, and little" Katie said.

John stared at her, "We have to tell them, you know it" John said, but Katie really dodn't want to risk her best friend and her new fiance.

Torrie smiled. "Contragulations! Randy I'm so happy for you!" She beamed hugging him.

"Thanks Tor, or should I say super Torrie I couldn't have done it without you" Randy grinned, Torrie just giggled before she hugged him again.

"I don't want to lose Randy, I love him and I want to marry him and be with him for the rest of my life! I don't want to lose Torrie because she's the greatest best friend I ever had." Katie said with tears in her eyes.

"I don't want to lose my wife or my best friend but it's the right thing to do." John said.

Katie just looked down as she wiped her eyes and sniffled.

"Katie we have too,"

"No! It was just a kiss between us I'm not gonna lose.. Randy, or the greatest best friend in my life" Katie spoke.

John looked at Katie, Torrie was the most precious thing to him and he wasn't gonna do anything to hurt her.

"So red or white?" Randy asked.

"White" Torrie smiled as she stood beside the viper.

"Tor, sorry for nearly punting you by the way" Randy spoke, Torrie just shook her head before she cuddled into Randy's shoulder in a friendship way.

"Please John we can't tell them. It was only five seconds and we didn't even feel a thing." Katie said.

John just stared at Katie not knowing what to do.

"Katie I love Torrie so much, I can't keep this from her I just can't" John spoke.

"But John, you'll lose Torrie, and you're best friend you really want that?" Katie asked with desperation in her eyes.

Of course he didn't but he couldn't stand hurting Torrie because she didn't deserve it. She was a beautiful, young woman with a heart of gold.

"Let's go back and celbrate with my husband your new fiancee" Torrie spoke as she linked arms with Randy smiling.

"Sounds amazing" Randy spoke.

"I have to because I don't want to hurt her with keeping this secret." John said.

"I don't want to lose Randy or Torrie because of a meaningless five second kiss!" Katie yelled.

"Well! we gotta do it!" John shouted back, until he felt a chill down his spine.

Randy and Torrie stood near the door with the uttermost shock. Torrie just stood there, with painful tears in her eyes after she and Randy had heard Katie and John.

John closed his eyes knowing that feeling and took a second before he turned to see Randy and Torrie standing there.

Katie looked at Torrie and Randy with tears in her eyes then looked down, she couldn't believe they heard the secret.

Torrie stood there with tears in her green eyes.

"Oh my god..." Torrie muttered. "It's not true, tell us it's not true what we just heard" She added, on a edge of a broken heart.

Randy just stood there, speechless.

"I'm sorry Torrie." John muttered.

Katie looked at Randy.

"I'm sorry." Katie said.

Torrie looked at John as she shook her head feeling her heart break.

"No.." Torrie muttered.

Randy just stared at Katie, then at John. "Why would you do this to us?" Randy asked, while Torrie just lowered her head down.

"It was an accident!" Katie cried.

"I was so upset and thought I saw you instead of John and I just kissed him but it was meaningless and I pulled away after only five seconds." Katie said as she looked at Randy and Torrie through her teary eyes.

Randy just stood there, while Torrie stared at John with tears falling from her eyes.

"Completely meaningless." John said.
