Secret Fears, Hidden Tears

Miranda walked up to the door of her brother's office in a green turtle neck and long blue jeans. No one knew but she was covering the brusies that covered her body. Her boyfriend of six years had followed her when she moved and had beaten her for the entire lenght of the relationship.

Miranda didn't want her brother to know

She knocked on the door and waited as she coughed, wincing from the pain of her two broken ribs.

The assistant GM of raw Tiffany looked up at the door.

"Il get it she said to John and opend the door.

"Hello"

"Hey Tiff, is my brother in?"

"Yes come in"

Miranda came in a hoped John couldn't see the hurt in her eyes.

Tiffany picked up her dog Sophie and pulled out her chair.


"Here have a seat" she offered.

Miranda sat down and didn't dare to look at her brother

"Do you want something to drink?" she asked whilst she petted the dog.

"No I'm fine." Miranda said.

"Are you sure?, you look a little down" she said.

"I'm fine." Miranda spoke, making sure no one could see the marks around her neck.

John looked at Miranda.

"Are you okay?" John asked.

Tiffany noticed something on Miranda's neck but said nothing.

Miranda bit her lip as she coughed a little and her ribs screamed in reply.

"I'm fine." Miranda lied.
