The Gift, At The Same Time A Curse.

"Did you think of me when Show chokeslammed you through the search light" Torrie asked softly.

"Yes I did." John said.

"What did you think about?" Torrie asked.

"I was worried about you." John said.

"Worried?" Torrie asked.

"What were you worried about?" Torrie asked as she sat there next to him.

"I knew you would come out and now I found out you did. I thought someone would attack you." John said.

"And that would be bad because?" Torrie asked.

"Because you could get hurt Torrie." John said.

"But I didn't,"

John shifted his body for a moment, squinting his eyes in pain for a moment. "But...you could have been, I couldn't have done anything about it"

"Well I just wanted to be close to you" Torrie said gently.

"You still should have stayed backstage." John said.

"No way in the world I was gonna stay backstage" Torrie spoke.

"Torrie if you come out, you have to understand that there was nothing I could do to protect you, and I didn't want the trainer to tell you were hurt as well" John muttered.

"That's what you were afraid of?" Torrie asked.

"Yes." John said.

"But I wasn't hurt, you were" Torrie spoke back to John.

"But you could have been hurt." John said.

"But.."

"No Torrie, when Big Show held me up in the air I had some idea what he was gonna do, and I didn't care I just prayed that you couldn't come out and now you find out you did so that means the world hates me" John spoke as he lied down when a sharp pain entered his midsection.

"So when Show held you, you thought of me?" Torrie asked softly.

"Yes." John said.

Torrie looked at John.

"Until?"

"Well I thought of you, until my back felt the glass and"

"And?" Torrie asked.

"Then I couldn't protect you." John said.

Torrie looked at John.

"I didn't expect you to even try and protect me" Torrie spoke softly.

"But I would have and I couldn't if someone decided to attack you." John said.

"Wait, what are you on about?" Torrie asked.

"Yeah because I was completely out cold, then I woke up I was like...please, please don't let it be Torrie I see when I first opened my eyes" John spoke.

"I just wanted to be close to you John that's all, after what that monster did I knew there's no way I would stay in the back" Torrie spoke.

John perked his eyes up at the ceiling before he looked at Torrie.

"Steph may have been able too, but I didn't care I just wanted to be beside you" Torrie said softly.

"You still could have been hurt." John said.

"I didn't care, that didn't enter my mind" Torrie spoke while she flicked her blonde hair unto her shoulders.

John just turned to Torrie, before he just sighed slowly getting to his feet leaving Torrie standing in the bedroom on her own.

"John," Torrie spoke as she followed him.

"You just don't get it, do you?" John asked.

"Get what?" Torrie asked.

John just stared at Torrie, as she continued to say she didn't care if she got hurt but he did and he couldn't have done anything to prevent it.
