A HARD MISTAKE

Nikki dried her tears as she pulled up into Paul's front yard. She and Paul had made a mistake, neither one of them wanted to hurt Cahrlie but that kis will once he find out. Nikki tried to hold her composure as she knock on Paul's door wiping her eyes one last time so Paul wouldn't think she was crying.

She did have a slight smile on her face as she heard Cassie begging her dad to let her open the door............

"Come on daddy I can do it!" Cassie said. "Let me do it please!" Cassie begged.

"No Cassie, now go play." Paul said as he opened the door, smiling to see Nikki said there.

"Hey." Paaul said.

"Hey" Nikki smiled back "Can we talk" she asked imidately wanting to get this over with

"Sure." Paul said, stepping aside to let her in.

Nikki entered and hesitated pacing back and forward "Um..."she satrted but stop, fiddling with her fingers "Well...." she bagan againg, but still didn't go anywhere "I think....." She paused again

"Nikki calm down, what is it?" Paul asked.

Nikki took one last deep breath "I just wanted to say I think the kiss we shared at the beach was a mistake, and I love Charlie wit all my heart, and was wondering if we can keep this as our little secret" Nikki said all in one breath

"If that's the way you want it then okay, but I'm sorry to say I don't feel the same way." Paul said.

Nikki wiped some tears from her eyes as they continued to flow "Oh yeah...How do you feel" Nikki asked crying histerically becuase of confusion and hurt

It broke Paul's heart to see Nikki crying.

"I'm falling in love with you." Paul spoke.

Nikki knew all along how Paul felt, and she was scared because she felt the same

"I know, that's why I;m sitting here face full of tears" Nikki manage to say "I think I'm falling for you too"

"So fall Nikki." Paul spoke.

"I'll be here to catch you."

"But Charlie...." Nikki whispered in tears

"Charlie doesn't love you the way Cassie and I do."

"How do you know that" Nikki said

"Because I just do."

Nikki stared at Paul in they eyes and knew he was genuine.....

Paul took Nikki's hand gently.

"Nikki, I can honestly say there has never been a better day in my life then the day that you came into it, and I don't want that to go away." Paul spoke. "Cassie loves you dearly and I do too." Paul spoke as he pulled nikki's hand up to kiss it gently. He didn't want to move to quickly he wanted Nikki to set the pace.

Nikki shared the soft passionate kiss as she placed her arms around his neck

"I told you it would be okay." Paul spoke with a smile as he pulled Nikki close to him.

Nikki smiled a little "This is right"..."You are right"

Paul smiled.

"Nikki, you know i would never do a single thing in this world to hurt you, trust me you'll be happy now, I promise." Paul spoke.

Cassie ran down the stairs when she spotted Nikki.

"Nikki!" Cassie cheered as she ran over to her.

Nikki quickly woped her face and hugged Cassie. She loved Cassie as she were her own, and she would love to be in her house 100 percent of the time...


"Hey Cassie" Nikkie smiled picking her up and hugging her....

"I made something for you." Cassie spoke.
