She's Not A Lady To Mess With (Maria & Soraya)

Maria walked down the halls of the arena in her denim jeans and a tank top with a jacket over it. Ever since Soraya made her comeback to Smackdown, the new blonde made her intentions known that she wanted to get a shot at the Diva's championship.

So now there she was, the ECW diva decided to take a visit to what was once her home, the blue brand. She offered her smiles to the people she passed by, but looks can be deceiving as of this moment. She surely wasn't the 'sweet' diva as she was known to be.

Soraya O'Toole was entering the arena from the opposite end, already in her wrestling attire, consisting on black skinny lycra tights that tucked into her black wrestling boots, a silver crop top that read survivor on the back in black Edwardian script, and she wore her standard black elbow pads. Her pale blonde hair fell in loose curls to her shoulders and she looked every inch a Diva.

Her mission was to visit with her best friend, Chris Jericho before her match tonight, little did she know what was in store for her instead.

Just as she turned the corner, she stopped in her tracks upon seeing a slender diva coming her way. It was the same one that she was looking for. Her target, that was.

She smirked. This was it, she knew.

"Hey there," she said, pulling off a sweet smile she could offer. "You must be Soraya right?"

Soraya looked up at the new voice and recognized the pretty auburn hair Diva's Champion. "That's right." She said politely. "And you're Maria. It's nice to finally meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too," Maria smiled and held out a hand to her.

Soraya accepted the handshake and felt her spine straighten. Years of being observent had the warning bells going off in her head at the sense of false kindness in the other Diva's voice and eyes. "Are you back for a visit?" She asked, remaining polite.

"Yes I am," Maria nodded. Her smile still remained on her face. "To see how things are going around here and such."

"That's great. I'm sure you've missed your friends." Soraya said making idle small talk.

"Oh yeah," Maria chuckled. "Very much. So, how are you enjoying it here?"

"I love it. I get to see Chris whenever I want, which is why I wanted to come to SmackDown in the first place." She said, refering to her best friend.

"Oh, are you guys close?" Maria asked.

Soraya nodded. "He's been my friend for a very long time. How about you, do you have a best friend?"

"I do actually. Her name's Eve Torres. You probably know her," Maria said.

"Yeah, I met her my first day back." Soraya nodded. "She's really nice."

Maria smiled. "Oh by the way, I was watching the Highlight Reel last week with you as the guest...and you said something about bringing back the diva's championship to Smackdown."

Ah, here's the point of this conversation. Soraya thought.

"I did. I got sick before I got to wear gold around my waist before, so I'd like to earn a shot to bring the Championship back to SmackDown." Soraya said simply.

"Aw you poor thing...missing your opportunity before," Maria said in a way that made her sound that she was pitying her. "But guess what? I would be honored to give you a title shot."

"Really?" Soraya asked skeptically. "Just like that?"

"Yeah, of course." Maria smiled. "How about at our next pay per view coming up?"

"If Morrison and Torrie okay it then I'm game." Soraya nodded.

"Awesome!" Maria grinned. "I'll look forward to it."

Soraya smirked. "As will I? Should be an interesting match as we've never faced each other before."

Maria chuckled. "Well, I should make one thing perfectly clear."

Soraya raised one perfectly manicured eyebrow. "And what's that?"

"...May the best diva....win." She smirked.
