Secret Birthday

Matt nodded.

"Yes I did, all for you." Matt said with a smile.

Soraya spun around and kissed him. "You are without a doubt, the best guy in the world. I'm so lucky to have you. I love you more than anything."

"This isn't the only surprise." Matt said with a smile.

He led Soraya to the middle of the rose heart before he looked at her in the eyes.

"Soraya you are the greatest person I've ever met. With all the problems I've had with love I never though I would be able to find a person I want to be with for the rest of my life. I've been so happy loving you Soraya. Tonight right here on your birthday I want to ask you an important question and hopefully you will say yes."

Matt stared at Soraya for a second before he got down on one knee and pulled out a small black box.

"Will you marry me?" Matt asked as he opened the box to reveal a diamond ring.

Soraya's jaw dropped open in complete shock as she stared at the beautiful diamond ring set in platinum that Matt had in the palm of his hand. It was perfect, absolutely perfect. So much so that tears of joy welled in her green eyes.

"YES!" She said around a happy sob. "A thousand times YES!"

Matt smiled as he slipped the ring on Soraya's finger then stood up and picked her up before kissing her passionately on the lips.

She squealed happily returning his kiss, wrapping her arms around him tightly and never wanting to let go.

Matt smiled as he held Soraya in his arms.

"So is this the best birthday you have ever had?" Matt asked.

Soraya grinned. "By far the best birthday I've ever had. Are you sure I'm not dreaming?"

"Very sure, trust me you're not dreaming." Matt said.

"Matt, I love you so much." She glanced at her left hand where his ring sparkled in the pale light. "We're getting married!"

"Yes we are and I can't wait." Matt said before he kissed Soraya again.

"Well, you've got to give me enough time to plan a wedding." She giggled, when they broke apart for air.

Matt chuckled.

"Okay I guess I could wait a little bit." Matt said.

"Thank you, because if you said lets go to Vegas and get married by Elvis, I'd be forced to ruin the moment and smack you." She teased. "Oh Matt, I'm so happy! I can't believe I lucked out in spending the rest of my life with you!"

"I can't believe I got so lucky to be with you, you truly have made me the happiest man alive." Matt said.

"Well, that fits because I'm definitely the happiest woman alive." She squealed. "I can't believe it! We're really getting married!"

Matt chuckled.

"So when should we tell everyone?" Matt asked.

Soraya thought for a moment. "Hmm...I'll take the girls out and tell them if you want to handle the guys. Shawn has a tendency of knocking people unconscious when he's excited, so you can handle that." She teased.

"Okay...can we not invite Shawn?" Matt asked.

"John's been knocked out by him, Dave, and so has Randy, I don't want to be the next one." Matt said.

"Matt, Shawn's our friend, and as crazy as he is, we love. Besides, everyone who's been knocked out by him has had a happily ever after." She reminded him.

Matt thought for a minute.

"True...it must be a lucky kick even though it hurts like crazy." Matt said.

Soraya giggled. "Well maybe he'll behave himself...I mean, you'll have Hunter, John and Dave there so..." She shrugged. "Maybe they'll keep him under control."

Matt laughed.

"No one can keep Shawn Michaels under control." Matt said.

She sighed. "True, except..." She smirked. "I'll make sure Stephanie's around."

"That would be a good idea." Matt said.
