Shopping For Courage (Carmin and Candice)

Carmin smiled a small smile as she walked fromm store to store in the mall. She wasn't really looking for anything,she just needed time to think. Ever since she came home she had nothing but the though of her secret on her mind.

She needed help.

Candice emerged from Baby Gap with a shopping bag hanging off her arm and her cellphone attached to her ear. "Dave, he's a baby, they get fussy." She rolled her eyes at her husband. "Put on a movie or some music. You're just going to have to entertain him." She said through the phone. "I'll see you when I get home."

Hanging up, Candice wasn't paying attention to where she was going and accidentally bumped into a young woman. "Oh I'm sorry! I'm being a complete airhead."

"It's all right." Carmin said softly.

"Hey wait..." She looked her over curiously. "I know you...you're Cody's sister right?"

Carmin smiled.

"Yeah, I'm Carmin." she said slightly smiling.

"Well it's nice to finally meet you, Carmin. I'm Candice Michelle Bautista." Candice smiled brightly.

Carmin smiled.

"Well, it's nice to finally meet you too Candice." Carmin said.

"I could have met you sooner but CXody's been acting like an overprotective asshole." Caarmin said.

Candice grinned. "It's what brothers do."

Carmin's cellphone rang.

"Speak of the devil." Carmin said.

"Hi Cody." Carmin answered. "Yes I'll be there, okay...I love you too...bye Cody." Carmin said hanging up.

"Sorry about that." Carmin said

"No problem...I'm not biologically related to the Hardy brothers, but they're the same way with me...especially Matt." Candice chuckled.

"Cody's been really protective over me since I came home." Carmin said.

"Like I said, it's what brother's do." Candice shrugged.

"I ran off like seven years ago and I just came home." Carmin said.

"Well, then can you blame him?" Candice asked.

"He just doesn't understand." Carmin said.

"What doesn't he understand?" Candice asked.

"The stress of the secret I've had to carry." Carmin said.

"Oh." Candice said, unsure whether to pry or not.

Carmin simply nodded.

She would tell f Candice asked, but not before.

"So is this like a personal secret or do you feel like sharing?" Candice asked.

"If you want to know." Carmin said.

"It's up to you." Candice said. "It's your secret to tell."

Carmin nodded and looked down for a moment before looking back at Candice.

"I'm bisexual." Carmin said softly.

"Oh." Candice nodded. "Well, unfortunately I'm married so you're out of luck with me." She joked, hoping to make Carmin laugh and realize Candice had no problem with her secret.

Carmin laughed a little.

"Even if you weren't, you'd be out of luck too, my heart is already taken." Carmin spoke.
